About the Second Harvest Food Bank 5k Run and 1 Mile Family Fun Walk
 

In conjunction with "Hunger Action Month" in September, please join us to take action in our fight against domestic hunger.   All proceeds from the 3rd annual Harvest Hun for Hunger 5K Run & 1 Mile Family Fun Walk fundraiser will help provide support to families in Clark, Champaign & Logan Counties.

  • Date: September 22, 2012
  • Location: C.J. Brown Dam & Reservoir Visitor's Center  2630 Croft Rd. Springfield, OH 45503
  • Time: 5K Run & 1 Mile Family Walk at 8:45 a.m.
  • Registration: 8:00 a.m. Or you can download and mail a registration form HERE.
  • Race Packets: Packets can be picked up at the race starting at 8:00 a.m.  Only pre-registered runners by 9/12/22 will be guaranteed a shirt that is included in the $20 entry fee.  Runners registered between 9/13/12 and race day 9/22/12 will cost $25 (No shirt).

    • 5k
      • Loop course
      • Mix of uphill, downhill and straight-aways
      • Paved course
      • Both through wooded areas and next to the 2000-acre CJ Brown Reservoir. Beautiful views of nature the entire way.
    • 1 Mile
      • Flat course across the dam (one hill)
      • Beautiful view of the reservoir the whole course
      • Paved path for smooth walking
  • Please bring non-perishable food items to fill our Mobile Food Pantry!
