About The Maple Leaf 5K

The Maple Leaf 5K Run or Competitive 5K Walk is a fundraiser for the Kiwanis Club of Granville to help fund its charitable activities. The Kiwanis Club is a global organization of volunteers dedicated to helping children. The Kiwanis Club of Granville has been serving Granville’s community since 1962.

The 5K race is a Kiwanis Club fundraiser and recognizes the beautiful maple trees that line the streets of Granville. Maple syrup production is one of the club's longest running service projects. The 5K course was designed to pass the "Sugar Shack" where the sap is boiled into syrup and offered at the race."

Donations and Entry fees, made payable to the Granville Kiwanis Foundation,
 a 501c3 public charity, type 2 organization, are tax-deductible.

  • Time: 9:00am 5K Run, 5K Walk and Youth Run races start- 8:00am registration starts
  • Entry Fee:
    • 5K Run/Walk- $25 through August 19, $30 August 20 through race day, August 21.
    • Kids Run - FREE! Registration for this event will be race day only, no online registration for the youth run.
    • A $5 discount is available to students, seniors and 2009 participants. Enter coupon code in the appropriate section while registering online, the code is: VIPMAPLE.
  • Awards:
    • Top 3 winners male/female overall; Top 3 winners in each age divisions in both the 5K Run and the 5K Walk will receive awards.
    • Top male/female Masters (Over 40) and Grand Masters (Over 50)will receive an award for the 5K Run only.
    • All kids in the youth run will receive finish ribbons.
    • The age groups are: 10 and under, 11-15, 16-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, and 70+.
